In 2026, Italian marine manufacturer Lofrans celebrates 60 years in the yachting market, marking this important milestone at the 66th Genoa International Boat Show. Held from 1-6 October in the heart of Italian yachting, Genoa provided a fitting setting to celebrate a brand with deep Italian roots and six decades of expertise in anchor management solutions.

On 2 and 3 October, Lofrans hosted special 60th anniversary parties at Stand TQ21, welcoming over 100 guests each day, including customers, partners and friends. Both gatherings brought together people who have been part of the Lofrans’ journey over the years, highlighting the long-standing relationships that have contributed to the brand’s success.

Founded in Monza, Italy, in 1966, Lofrans has dedicated six decades to designing and manufacturing windlasses and anchor management solutions, building a global reputation for reliability, quality and performance, while remaining committed to innovation and product development.

The 60th anniversary comes at a particular significant time in Lofrans’ history. Earlier this year, the company moved its manufacturing operations from its original site in Monza to a new, company-owned manufacturing facility in Cambiago, Milan.

The new factory represents an important investment in Lofrans’ future, providing enhanced production capabilities and creating a stronger foundation for the company’s continued growth, while keeping its manufacturing firmly rooted in Italy.

At Genoa, Lofrans also showcased the new RAZZA Windlass, the latest additions to its horizontal range.

“Celebrating 60 years of Lofrans in Genoa is a very special moment for all of us. This milestone is not only about looking back at six decades of Italian engineering and innovation, but also about recognising the customers, partners and people who have been part of our journey. The fact that there are Lofrans’ windlasses still in service after more than 30 years is a great testament to the durability, reliability and quality that we have always aimed to deliver. These products are part of our heritage and are a source of great pride for us. As we begin this next chapter from our new facility in Cambiago, we are proud of our heritage and equally focused on the future, continuing to develop reliable, innovative solutions for the global yachting industry,” mentioned Stavros Lalizas, Founder & CEO of the LALIZAS Group of companies.
